Ricky Lee Wilson, age 68, passed away Friday, October 5, 2018, at his home in Hattiesburg, MS. Ricky was formerly of Batesville, MS.
Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, October 9, 2018, in the Martin Wilingham Memorial Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with interment to follow at Forrest Memorial Park in Batesville, MS with military honors. The family will be receiving friends Monday evening from 5:00 - 8:00 P.M. at Wells Funeral Home and also one hour prior to the funeral service on Tuesday. Those honored to serve as pallbearers include, Jerry Holliday, Ty Tedford, Trey Tedford, Monty Carter, Shaun Boyette, Travis Cook, Randy Wilson, Chris Wilson and honorary pallbearers will be, Wayne Wilson, Eli Carter and Landon Morris.
Ricky was born November 1, 1949, in Sardis, MS to the late Donald and Betty Jo Mills Wilson. Ricky had retired from Magnolia Tooling in Batesville, MS and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Batesville, MS. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and cooking for his family and friends. Ricky’s greatest joy was his grandchildren. He could often be found playing Solitaire in his spare time. Ricky honorably served his country in the U.S. Army.
Ricky leaves behind his wife of thirty-six years, Sissy Johns Wilson of Hattiesburg, MS; three daughters, Chasity Wolfe Tedford (Jamie) of Hattiesburg, MS, Kelli Wolfe-Carter (Monty) of Oxford, MS; Nicole Wilson Morris of Oxford, MS; four brothers, Paul Wilson (Molly) of Lumberton, MS, Randy Wilson (Brenda) of Sardis, MS, Jimmy Wilson (Kim) of Parker, CO, Mike Wilson (Sandra) of Batesville, MS; six grandchildren, Kelsey Wolfe, Trey and Ty Tedford, Eli Carter, Landon and Laklyn Morris.
