Floyd Hill, age 80, passed away Saturday, November 21, 2020 at his home in Sardis, MS.

Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, November 24, 2020, in the Martin Willingham Memorial Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with interment to follow at McIvor Baptist Church Cemetery near Sardis, MS. The family will receive friends beginning at 12:00 noon prior to the service at Wells Funeral Home.

Floyd was born on December 28, 1939 to the late Howard Vurland Hill and Laura Elizabeth Slawson Hill in Carroll County, MS. He worked has a big truck driver during his lifetime and was a faithful member of the McIvor Baptist Church in Sardis. Floyd was also a member of the Batesville Lion’s Club. When he was not on the road working, he enjoyed hunting and fishing. Floyd also had a special love for all of his dogs.  

The family Floyd leaves behind includes his wife, Betty Ann Hill of Sardis; two children, Melissa Hill Nolan (Eddie) and Joe Hamilton Hill (Amy) both of Sardis; three brothers, Howard Hill (Donna) of Greenwood, Robert Hill of Batesville, and Jimmy Hill (Dale) of Grenada; 4 grandchildren, Jessie Hamilton Alred, Austin Lee Alred, Trenton Hamilton Hill, and Kaysie Grace Hill; one great granddaughter, Zoey Dawn Alred.
