Bryan Tidwell, loving known as “Poppy”, age 40, passed away Saturday, May 25, 2019, in Lafayette County, MS at Enid Lake after a tragic accidental drowning.
The family will have a memorial service to celebrate Bryan’s life at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, May 29, 2019 in the Martin Willingham Memorial Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with the family receiving friends beginning at 9:00 A.M. prior to the service.
Bryan was born March 10, 1979 in Batesville, MS to Preston Davis Tidwell, III and Patsy Lynn Dulin Long. He worked for Winchester in Oxford, MS in the maintenance department. When Bryan was young, he attended McIvor Baptist Church in Batesville, MS. Anyone that knew Bryan, knew he had a special love for hunting, fishing and collecting many guns, pistols and knives.
Bryan’s memory will be cherished by his loving memory include his wife, Anita Parker Tidwell of Water Valley, MS; three daughters, Terri Downs of Batesville, MS, Kaitlyn Tidwell of Batesville, MS, Rebecca Tidwell of Batesville, MS; two step-sons, Eric Schmitz of Water Valley, MS, Andy Hood of Water Valley, MS; mother, Patsy Lynn Long and husband Richard of Batesville, MS; father, Preston Tidwell and wife Pam of Batesville, MS; sister, Melissa Crockett of Independence, MS; three grandchildren, Kaden Schmitz, Joshua Downs, Georgia Rain Downs; maternal grandparents, Ronald E. Carrback and wife Linda; paternal grandmother, Doris Tidwell; two uncles Mike Dulin and wife Tracy of Batesville, MS, Galen Tidwell and wife Cathy of Batesville, MS; cousin, Lauren Tidwell of Batesville, MS.
Bryan was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Katie Carrback and paternal grandfather, Preston Davis Tidwell, Jr.
