Willie B. McDonald

Willie B. McDonald, age 73, passed away early Sunday morning, May 26, 2019, at Baptist Memorial Hospital of North MS in Oxford, MS. 

Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, May 28, 2019, at Blackjack Baptist Church with interment to follow at Forrest Memorial Park in Batesville, MS. The family will be receiving friends at Blackjack Baptist Church from 10:00 A.M. until service time the day of the service on Tuesday. 

Willie was born March 29, 1946 in Walker, LA to the late Eugene and Eva Williams McDonald. He was a member of Blackjack Baptist Church. Willie loved God, his family and his friends. Earlier in life, Willie enjoyed hunting and fishing, and he loved following the Atlanta Braves baseball team. 

Willie’s memory will be cherished by his wife, Fay Martin McDonald of Batesville, MS; daughter, Laura McDonald Vidal of Germantown, TN; three sons, Slade McDonald of Batesville, MS, Shane McDonald of Hernando, MS, Willie B. McDonald, Jr. of Denham Springs, LA; sister, Gatsy Dulin of Batesville, MS, brother, Ray McDonald of Walker, LA; four grandchildren, Logan McDonald, Kaia Vidal, Laila Vidal, Jude Vidal; one great-granddaughter, Aniah Grayer.
