William Jacob Thompson, a beloved member of the community, passed away on May 29, 2024 at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, MS. Born on January 27, 1981, in Grenda, Mississippi, Jacob led a life full of passion and enthusiasm that touched the hearts of all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
 
 The family will celebrate his life privately at a later time.
 
 In 1999, Jacob graduated from Strider Academy in Charleston, MS, laying the foundation for a future filled with accomplishments and cherished memories. Jacob's zest for life was truly unparalleled - he found joy in simple moments like fishing guide trips, engaging in deep conversations with friends, and spending time dove hunting.
 
 Jacob's presence will be deeply missed by his surviving family and friends. He leaves behind his loving wife, Melissa Goss Thompson of Holcomb, MS; his son Riley Martin Thompson of Holcomb, MS; his mother Linda Howe Thompson of Batesville, MS; his father William Pasley "Bill" Thompson of Charleston, MS; and his sister Ashley Thompson Parrish (Will) of Batesville, MS.
 
 Jacob will be remembered not only for his adventurous spirit and warm heart but also for the kindness and love he shared with those around him. His legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him.
