William Lee "Wild Bill" Henry, Sr. age 71, traded his spurs for his angel wings on April 17, 2020 at his home in Batesville peacefully surrounded by his loved ones. 

There will be a graveside service held at 3:00 Monday afternoon, April 20, 2020 at Forrest Memorial Park. Rev. Jerry King will officiate.

He was born to the late James Wallace Henry and Callie Mae Bankston Henry on July 2, 1948. Wild Bill was a man of many trades including farming, truck driving, dragliner operator, and cutting grass for his many friends which he was enjoyed very much, among his many other trades. He loved music and was honored to sit in the back of his truck and play his one man band (Me, Myself and I) down at Billbo's. If it put a smile on one persons face or helped someone in need, it was all worth it to him. He enjoyed being with family and friends fishing, coon hunting, dancing, singing, shooting pool, riding and roping, cheering on Jeff Gorden, and seeing if his pick would win The Voice. His grandchildren loved playing with "Pop" and hearing the next song he came up with and him telling stories of years gone by. Wild Bill held watching sunrises and sunsets with with his loving wife Sherron dear to his heart. 

In addition to his parents, Wild Bill was preceded in death by his sister, Betty Jean Henry; brother, James Henry; 2 nephews, Horace Potts, J.J. Henry and many friends and family.

He is survived by his loving wife, Sherron Savage Henry; son, William Lee Henry, Jr. (Kayla) of Batesville; 2 daughters, Callie Henry Odom (Homer) of Water Valley, and Becky Henry also of Water Valley; step-children, Kathy Newberry, Emily Savage, Chris Savage, and Dianne Whiting; grandchildren, Neil Taylor (Beth), Cami Taylor, Halla Odom, Trinity Henry, Warren Henry and Willow Henry; great grandsons, Raiden Taylor and Joseph Taylor; step grandchildren, Brooklyn Williamson, Caden Williamson, Kolten Savage, Brady Savage (Lorin), Nathan Taylor, Lexi Albritton, Kayleigh Williams; 3 brothers, Leslie Henry (Betty), Ira Henry (Rose), Roy Henry; 2 sisters, Shirley Potts (Larry) and Mary Black; as well as a host of nieces and nephews and many loving friends that adored him.
