William Harold Dalrymple, age 79, passed away Sunday morning, July 9, 2017 , at Baptist Memorial Hospital of North MS in Oxford, MS.The Dalrymple family will receive friends Monday morning from 10:00 - 11:00 A.M., July 10, 2017 followed by a graveside service in Forrest Memorial Park in Batesville, MS. Dr. Tommy Snyder will be officiating the service. Those honored to serve as pallbearers include, Jim Tyler Dalrymple, John Cody Dalrymple, Taylor Karr, Bubba Karr, Walt Karr, Mike Swindoll and Dennis Lott.Harold was born February 5, 1938 in Tuscumbia, AL to the late Bulah L. and Callie Reaves Dalrymple. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Batesville, MS and the Delta Street Rods. Harold retired as a superintendent from Muscle Shoals Rubber Company in Batesville, MS after thirty-two years of service, and also previously served in the Alabama National Guard. During his spare time, Harold enjoyed restoring antique cars, barbequing and cooking catfish. He was most proud of his thirty-seven years of sobriety.He leaves behind a loving family that will continue cherish his memory, those family members include his wife of fifty-eight years, Peggy Ann Rickard Dalrymple of Batesville, MS; daughter, Janet Dalrymple Karr (David) of Batesville, MS; son, Tim Dalrymple of Batesville, MS; two brothers, James C. Dalrymple of Batesville, MS, Nelson Dalrymple of Tuscumbia, AL; four grandchildren, Taylor Karr, Jim Tyler Dalrymple, John Cody Dalrymple, Riley Dalrymple; one great-grandson, Carder Dalrymple.Besides his parents, Harold was preceded in death by two sisters, Earline Dalrymple McCollister, Lucille Dalrymple McDaniel and a brother, Lonnie Francis Dalrymple.
