William Andy Hightower

William Andy Hightower, age 69, passed away Tuesday morning, December 31, 2019, at Region One Medical Center in Memphis, MS.

Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Saturday, January 4, 2019 at the First Baptist Church in Batesville, MS with interment to follow at Magnolia Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at the church from 12:00 P.M. until service time.

Andy was born December 28, 1950 in Carroll County, MS to the late Dennis C. and Gladys Marie Gant Hightower. He spent nineteen years driving for Dowdle Gas Company building many close relationships with his customers, whom he loved. In Andy's early years, he enjoyed the outdoors hunting and fishing. Following retirement, Andy loved working in his yard and vegatable garden. He was a former Deacon and active member of Explorer Bible Study, along with being a leader for Celebrate Recovery.

Andy's kind and loving memory will be cherished by his wife, Beth Manning Hightower of Batesville, MS; three sisters, Carolyn McCoy (Tommy) of Kilmichael, MS, Betty Herron (Bruce) of Mobile, AL, Joy Parker (Mike) of Winona, MS; three brothers, Clayton Hightower (Sue) of Vaiden, MS, John Hightower of Winona, MS, Roy Hightower (Kay) of Oxford, MS and a host of nieces and nephews.
