T.L. "Pee Wee" Shields Jr., age 61, passed away at his home in Courtland on June 6, 2018.
Funeral services for T.L. will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 9, 2018 in the Martin Willingham Memorial Chapel of Wells Funeral Home in Batesville with visitation beginning at 10:00 prior to the service. Interment will be held at Pisgah Cemetery in Courtland. Rev. Rickey Cook will officiate.
T.L. was born March 21, 1957 to the late T.L. Shields and Ruby Young Shields in Dade City, FL. T.L. was a truck driver for MMC Materials and was of the Baptist faith. In his spare time, T.L. enjoyed camping, hunting and fishing.
The family he leaves behind include his wife, Sybil Goodwin Shields of Courtland; 2 children, Angela "Gator" Eatmon of Oxford, and Clinton Jay Shields of Courtland; 1 sister, Lois Wynn of Arcadia, FL.; 3 grandchildren, Thomas Houston Boyette, Kristine Lynn Wirt, McKayla Bell Parker; and 1 great grandchild, Darren Wayne Wirt.
Besides his parents, T.L. was preceded in death by one sister, Patsy Hardin of Florida.
