Timothy Lamar "Tim" Ward, age 56, passed away Monday, February 24, 2025, at his home near Sardis, MS.
A memorial service will be held Wednesday afternoon, March 5, 2025, at 2:00 P.M. in the Martin Willingham Memorial Chapel of Wells Funeral Home. The family will receive friends beginning at 12:00 P.M. prior to the service.
Tim was born on February 29, 1968 in Memphis, TN to the late Hubert Lamar Ward and Gloria Bruenell Lowrie Ward. He dedicated his career to the construction industry, serving as the Superintendent for Patton & Taylor Enterprise Construction in Germantown, TN.
Beyond his professional life, Tim was a man of varied interests and talents. He had a passion for music, often found singing and playing the guitar. He also enjoyed challenging his mind with games of chess, sharing good-natured competition with friends and family.
Tim's love for the outdoors was evident in his favorite hobbies. He delighted in riding his motorcycle, where the open road symbolized freedom and adventure. Hunting was another passion, particularly rabbit hunting. Tim was also skilled in wood carving, a craft through which he expressed his creativity and found personal enjoyment.
The family he leaves behind includes his children, Aubrey Long (Forest) of Sarah, MS, Alyson Hamm (Stephen) of Sardis, MS, Megan Price (Richard) of Como, MS, Wyatt Ward of Sarah, MS, and Matthew Ward (McKenzie) of Plantersville, MS; one step-son, Allen Martin (Stacey) of Arizona; one brother, Steve Ward; and 7 grandchildren, Ben Martin, Tyler Gonzalez, Sarah Hamm, Katie Hamm, Connor Hamm, Zoe Long, and Lane Price.
Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Catherine “Kitty” Martin Ward.
