Thomas Guardia Burdine

Mr. Thomas Guardia Burdine, age 88, passed away at his home in Como, MS on January 29, 2024. Thomas was the husband of Betty Barbee Burdine.

Funeral services for Thomas will be held at 12:00 noon on Thursday, February 1, 2024 at Peach Creek Baptist Church near Como. The family will receive friends beginning at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow the service at Peach Creek Cemetery. Bro. Tracey Reed and Bro. Mark Luther will officiate.

Thomas was born December 13, 1935, to the late Thomas James Burdine and the late Mildred Lucille Guardia Burdine in Gulfport, MS. Together they raised two daughters, Ann and Molly. Thomas served his country in the U.S. Navy for four years before joining the U.S. Air Force where he remained for a total service of twenty years. Thomas retired from the Air Force as a Tech Sergeant. He was a member of the Christian Center Church in Shreveport, LA. In his spare time, Thomas liked to go fishing. He was an avid Ole Miss Football fan.  Thomas loved his Rebels! 

In addition to his parents, Thomas was preceded in death by two siblings, Alice Faye Wilke and Murph Burdine. 

The loving family he leaves behind includes his precious wife, Betty Barbee Burdine of Como; daughters, Ann Burdine Overall (Adrian) of Como, Molly Burdine Caudill (Mike) of Warner Robins, GA; one sister, Mildred Burrus of Gulfport; grandchildren, Ryan Overall (Kristen), Travis Overall (Kati), Hannah Caudill, Gabriel Caudill, Grace Caudill; great grandchildren, Nathan Overall, Eli Overall, Sadie Overall, Abi-Ryan Overall, John Daniel Overall. He will be greatly missed.
