Terry Robert Wrenn

Terry Robert Wrenn, age 65, passed away Wednesday, May 15, 2019 at his home in Tunica, MS.

Terry was born June 28, 1953 in Ypsilanti, Michigan to the late James Franklin and Nina Downs Wrenn. He was a Vietnam veteran serving in the U.S. Army. While serving his country, he visited many places across the United States, Hong Kong, Japan, Thailand, and did tours in Vietnam. He served as an Army Security Police. Terry loved and enjoyed everything about being in the Army. He was a part of the 196^th Light Infantry Brigade Association. After serving his country, Terry worked as a tool and die manufacturer at Crown Cork and Seal in Batesville, MS, and at Borge Warner in Water Valley, MS.

In 1997, Terry began having leg problems, and in 1998 he lost both of legs. Being a double amputee did not get him down. In 2003, he played in the National Veterans Wheelchair Games, and won three gold medals. He then went on to trade school to receive a degree in computer engineering. He became an inspiration to others. A teammate at the games said that Terry always had a smile on his face, and was eager to lend a hand to other people, especially when they were down.

Terry will be greatly missed by his daughter, Camille Wrenn Schiele (Brandon) of Lambert, MS; two sisters, Linda Tutor (Michael) of Tunica, MS, and Susan Milbank of Westland, MI; two brothers, Joe Wrenn (Sandy) of Tunica, MS, and Steve Wrenn (Polly) of Senatobia, MS; 3 grandchildren, Aubrey Wilkins, Sydney Schiele, and Ethan Schiele, and 2 step-grandchildren, Madison and Will Schiele.

Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by three brothers, Ronnie, Bryan, and Gene Wrenn; and one sister, Connie Lee Wrenn Thompson.

There will be a memorial service for Terry here at Wells Funeral Home at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 21, 2019 with visitation beginning at 1:00.
