Sylvia Scruggs Sartin

Sylvia Anne Scruggs Sartin, age 62, passed away Wednesday, April 22, 2020, at Baptist Memorial Hospital of North MS in Oxford, MS.

A private family graveside service will be 3:30 P.M. Friday, April 24, 2020 at Forrest Memorial Park in Batesville, MS. An immediate family gathering will be held at Wells Funeral Home beginning at 1:00 P.M. Friday prior to the graveside service. Due to the Covid-19 gathering restrictions, the graveside service may be viewed on Facebook Live by going to the Wells Funeral Home Facebook page Friday afternoon.

Sylvia was born October 15, 1957 in Batesville, MS to the late James (Jimmy) and Virgie Lee Bay Scruggs. She was a factory worker and member of the Cold Springs United Methodist Church.

Sylvia's memory will be cherished by her husband, John Thomas Sartin of Sardis, MS; son, John Dustin Sartin (Brook) of Sardis, MS; step-daughter Patty (wee-wee) Lewellen of Jackson, MS; brother, James (Tim) Scruggs of Sardis, MS; three grandchildren, Johnathan Sartin, Megan Taylor and Tyler McGregory.
