Sue Dahlke

Mary Sue Dahlke, age 87, passed away Wednesday April 10, 2019 at Providence Nursing Home in Grenada, MS. She was the widow of Jerome “Joe” Dahlke.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday April, 13, 2019 in the Martin Willingham Memorial Chapel of Wells Funeral Home in Batesville with interment to follow in the Hill Crest Cemetery in Holly Springs MS. The family will be receiving friends one hour prior to the service. Rev. Terry Floyd will officiate the service.

Sue was born on March 22, 1932 to the late Earline Brown Ferrell and Carl Ferrell in Ashland, MS. She worked as a clerical worker for Sears in Memphis, TN for many years. She was a member of the First Faith Baptist Church of Batesville, MS. Sue loved to cook and entertain her family. She also enjoyed traveling, decorating with flowers from her garden, and she had a special love for her dogs.

Those left behind to cherish her loving memory include her two daughters, Perian Yeargin (Clint) of Batesville, MS, and Katherine Casey (John) of Counce, TN; three sons, Jerry Dahlke (Gina) of Blue Eye, MO, Bruce Dahlke (Dianne) of Bartlett, TN, and Denver Dahlke (Karen) of Fort Worth, TX; three sisters, Johnnie Hill of Southaven, MS, Bobbie Hinds of Corinth, MS, and Evelyn Ferrell of Memphis, TN; one brother, Joseph Ferrell of Morristown, TN; 11 grandchildren, Trey Yeargin, Lindsey Callihan, Brittany Patrick, Jay Casey, Kristen Edwards, Christopher Dahlke, Blaire Lindsay, Ryne Dahlke, Jordan Dahlke, Ashlyn Dahlke, and Ashley Ross; and 6 great grandchildren.

Along with her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Daniel Ferrell and Carl Ferrell; and one grandson, Nicholas Dahlke.
