Stephen Daniel Stiles

Stephen Daniel "Steve" Stiles, age 59, passed away at his home near Sardis, MS on August 3, 2017. Funeral services for Steve will be held on Monday, August 7, 2017 at 12 noon at New Hope Baptist Church in Harmontown. The family will receive friends beginning at 10:00 a.m. prior to the service. Interment will follow at New Hope Cemetery.  Mrs. Jean Rogers will officiate. Those honored to be pallbearers are Tony Manuel, Joey Manuel, Barry Blackwood, Josh Bennett, Brandon Blackwood, and Blair McArthur. Wells Funeral Home of Batesville has charge of arrangements.  Steve was born September 28, 1957 to Margaret Gay Corzine Stiles and the late Herman Leon Stiles in Memphis, TN. Steve worked as a painter during his lifetime and was a member of New Hope Baptist Church. During his spare time he enjoyed hunting and fishing. He found joy in making crosses from deer antlers. The family he leaves behind to cherish his memory include his wife, Fran Stiles of Sardis,; his children, Kristi Cruz of Florida, Chris Allen Griste of Harmontown, MS, Christopher David Griste of Montgomery, AL. ; one brother, Joseph Leon Stiles of Harmontown, two sisters, Barbara Lynn Manuel, and Teresea Gay Gray both of Harmontown, and his mother, Gay Stiles also of Harmontown, 10 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. In addition to his father, Steve is preceded in death by one brother, Robert Dale Stiles.
