Stephanie R. Mothershed

Stephanie Sue Russell Mothershed died the evening of November 6, 2018 at the North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. She was held in love by her family and entrusted into the loving arms of God.

Stephanie was born April 2, 1961. She graduated from Cleveland High School in 1979 and Mississippi College in 1983 where she received a Bachelor of Science. She married John William Mothershed in 1981. Her most recent employment was at Baptist Memorial Hospital - North Mississippi. Stephanie was a member of American Society for Clinical Pathology. She was an active member of First United Methodist church and committed to her faith as a Christian.

She was a deeply devoted mother to her children, Will and Russell (June) (Ashley) and grandmother to her three grandchildren, Ashlyn, Liam, and Griffin. She is survived by her mother Linda Russell Persons (Thomas), siblings Robbie Russell (LeeAnne), Emily McDaniel (David), nephews Haynes, Kevin, and Luke, and nieces, Addy Morgan, Caroline, Adelaide, Katie, and Kira and preceded by her father, Wiley Roby Russell.

A Service of Celebration of Stephanie’s life will be held at First United Methodist Church in Batesville on Friday, November 9. The family will receive friends beginning at 10 am prior to the service at 12:00. Interment will immediately follow at Friendship Cemetery in Como. Wells Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
