Slayter Ray Smith

Slayter Ray Smith, born December 2, 2019, passed away three short months later on March 16, 2020 at Le Bonheur Children's Hospital in Memphis, TN.

There will be a memorial gathering on Sunday, March 22, 2020 from 2:00 to 4:00 at Wells Funeral Home in Batesville.

Slayter was born in Memphis, Tennessee to Daniel Ray Smith and Chelsey Paige Wilson Smith.

Along with his parents he is survived by two siblings, Lakelynn Hope Smith and Caden Christopher Smith both of Batesville, MS; maternal grandmother, Dottie Wilson of Askew, MS; paternal grandparents, Terry and Tracy Smith of Batesville, MS; paternal great grandmother, Betty Tutor of Batesville, MS.

He is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, David Peeples; paternal great grandparents, Charles Tutor, Patricia Ann Smith, and William Ellis Smith; and maternal great grandparent, John Bross.
