Silas Bailey

Mr. Silas Bailey, age 62, passed away May 18, 2017 at the North MS Medical Center in Tupelo, MS.  The family will receive friends beginning at 2:30 to 4:00 on Monday, May 22, 2017 at Wells Funeral Home in Batesville, MS. Immediately following the visitation a Graveside services will be held at Magnolia Cemetery in Batesville. Silas was born March 25, 1955 in Marks, MS to the late Silas Edward Bailey and Eloise Russell Bailey.  He was a truck driver during his lifetime. Silas never stayed still, he loved to work and help others. He enjoyed tinkering in his shop and working in the yard. Those he leaves behind to cherish his precious memory include his wife, Kathy Stroup Bailey of Crowder, his uncle, Larry Bailey of Batesville, and a host of In-Laws, nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Silas is preceded in death by his sister, Janice Bailey Monsmier.
