Shirley Overby Strough

Shirley Ann Overby Strough, age 82, passed away peacefully at her home in Batesville this morning, November 7, 2017. There will be a graveside service held for Ms. Strough at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, December 11, 2017 at Forrest Memorial Park in Batesville. Wells Funeral Home has charge. Shirley was born February 13, 1935 in Belzoni to the late Paul Overly and Clsty Towery Overby. Shirley proudly served her country in the U.S. Air Force. She spent her career employed by the former Northwest Airlines where she worked as a supervisor.  Shirley was a member of Oakdale Baptist Church in Brandon. Survivors include her children; Kelly Strough of Batesville, Roxanne Dunaway of Menomonie, WI., and Melvin Strough of Batesville, step-son; Josh Walton of Batesville, sister; Sara Mitchell of Brandon, and 2 grandchildren; Matt and Dave Dunaway.
