Shirley Jean Russell

Shirley Jean Russell, age 83, passed away Friday, September 6, 2019, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Oxford, MS.

Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Sunday, September 8, 2019 in the Marti Willingham Memorial Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with interment to follow at Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Clarksdale, MS. The family will be receiving friends one hour prior to the service Sunday afternoon.

Shirley was born August 2, 1936 in Drew, MS to the late James Arvel and Irene Guest Fulgham. She was a retired secretary for Boyle, Lanham & Morgan Insurance Agency in Clarksdale, MS. Shirley was a member of the First Faith Baptist Church in Batesville, MS.

Shirley is survived by her two sons, Jerry Allen Walker of Batesville, MS, Terry Wayne Walker of Sardis, MS; sister, Cynthia Walton of Ft. Smith, AR; three brothers, Bobby Arvel Fulgham, James Donald Fulgham, and Tommy Joe Fulgham all of Memphis, TN; eight grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy D. Russell and her son, Guy F. Walker, Jr.
