Shirley Gee Busby

Shirley Gee Busby, age 88, passed away Monday, February 25, 2019 at Providence Assisted Living in Batesville, MS.

Funeral services will be 12:30 P.M. Thursday, February 28, 2019 at Shiloh United Methodist Church with interment to follow in the Shiloh Cemetery in Batesville, MS. The family will be receiving friends one hour prior to the funeral service. Wells Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.

Shirley was born November 19, 1930 to the late Theo Nelson and Clarron Dahlburg Gee in Panola County, MS. During Shirley’s life she was a homemaker. She enjoyed being a part of the Teasdale Quilting and Auxiliary group. She also enjoyed reading, cooking, and quilting. She was a member of the Shiloh United Methodist Church. Shirley loved her family, her church family, and her community friends. Shirley was always thinking of others.

Those she leaves behind to cherish her loving memory include her daughters, Bonnie Burkes (Jerry) of Batesville, MS, and Diane Robison (Rocky) of Enid, MS; one son, Leslie Busby (Becky) of Sarah, MS; six grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.

Along with her parents, Shirley is preceded in death by her husband, Leslie D. Busby; her brother, Clarron D. Gee, Jr.; and one grandson, Nelson Clark Robison.
