Shirley "Bittie" Ann Tubbs Floyd

Shirley Ann Tubbs "Bittie" Floyd, age 82, passed away Saturday, November 24, 2018, at her son's home in Batesville, MS. Mrs. Floyd was the widow of the late James Dale Floyd.

Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Saturday, December 1, 2018, at Hosanna Family Worship Center in Pope, MS with interment to follow in Rose Hill Cemetery in Sardis, MS. The family will be receiving friends Friday evening, November 30, 2018, from 5:00 - 8:00 P.M. at Hosanna Family Worship Center and also starting at 11:00 A.M. Saturday morning prior to the service.

Shirley was born December 18, 1935 in Sardis, MS to the late Paul Best and Mattie May "Mammy" Geeslin Tubbs. She worked as a secretary most of life before her retirement.

Mrs. Floyd leaves behind her son, William James Floyd of Batesville, MS; brother, Harold Dean "Tooter" Tubbs of Sardis, MS; two grandchildren, William Christian Payton Floyd and Colton Lee Stevens; three great-grandchildren, Kallie Grace Stevens, Ryder Lane Stevens and Lilly Ana Stevens.

Other than her husband and parents, Shirley was preceded in death by one sister, Ruby Carlene "Tom" Tubbs and one brother, John Paul "Jack" Tubbs.
