Shelby Gene Brower, of Coffeeville, passed away at the age 65 on November 1, 2020 in Yalobusha County.
There will be a memorial service held for Shelby at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 21, 2020 at New Hope Baptist Church in Coffeeville, MS.
Shelby was born on June 30, 1955 to the Lillian Juanita Williams Brower and the late George Walton Brower in Water Valley, MS. He was a retired factory worker. Shelby was also an assistant chief volunteer firefighter and a deacon of New Hope Baptist Church in Coffeeville. He was always willing to help others and was considered a pillar of the Coffeeville community. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Those left behind who will miss him the most include his two daughters, Jennifer Reeves (Cliff) of Williston, North Dakota, and Katie Brower of Pontotoc, MS; one sister, Genevia Smith (Bubba) of Hernando, MS; his mother, Juanita Brower of Oxford, MS; 3 grandchildren, Anna, Jeffery, and Rob Reeves all of Williston, North Dakota; 2 nieces, 1 nephew, and 3 great nieces; a host of extended family and his special friends.
Shelby is preceded in death by his father, George Walton Brower.
