Livestream of Memorial Service Scotty Lee Sprouse, age 53, passed away Sunday, September 12, 2021, at his home in Batesville, MS. The family will have a memorial gathering Thursday, September 16, 2021 beginning at 6:00 P.M. followed by a memorial service at 7:00 P.M. in the Martin Willingham Memorial Chapel of Wells Funeral Home. Scotty was born April 28, 1968 in Batesville, MS to the late John Lee Sprouse and Linda Sprouse Carrback. Scotty proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy and was honorably discharged in 1992. While in the Navy, Scotty completed Pharmacy Technician School, and he continued this profession in the private sector, having been employed by Panola Pharmacy of Batesville, MS. He had a wonderful sense of humor and it showed with his co-workers and patrons of where he worked. In his spare time, Scotty enjoyed taking pictures and developing those in his own dark room. He also loved old cameras and astronomy. Scotty enjoyed listening to music, computers comic books and anything Star Trek. His love for animals was very evident, especially with exotic animals. Scotty’s loving memory and serving heart will be cherished by his mother, Linda Sprouse Carrback (Ronald) of Batesville, MS; two brothers, Harvey Sprouse of Batesville, MS, Brian Sproue (Eve) of Pope, MS; step-sister, Patsy Long of Batesville, MS; step-brother, Mike Dulin (Tracy) of Batesville, MS; two nieces, Hannah Grace Sprouse, Rosa Lee Sprouse both of Pope, MS; nephew, Hunter Sprouse of Batesville, MS; aunt, Oma Boucher of Batesville, MS; cousins, Jennifer Boucher of Batesville, MS and Bird Boucher of Batesville, MS. Along with his father, John, Scotty was preceded in death by his grandparents, R.C. and Jewell Woodard and Leroy and Hazel Sprouse. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Chapel Hill Cemetery or the Panola County Humane Society.
