Livestream of Funeral Service

Sandra Beard Flowers, 79, of Enid, MS, passed away in the early morning hours of Monday March 25, 2024 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Oxford, MS.

Visitation will be held Wednesday evening March 27, 2024 from 5pm until 8pm at Wells Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held Thursday March 28, 2024 at 1pm in the Martin Willingham Memorial Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with Rev. Raymond Aven officiating. Interment will follow in Enid Oakhill Cemetery. 

Sandra was born February 9, 1945 to the late William Newt Beard and Louise Lowrey Beard. Sandra married Mr. Tillman Flowers and the two remained together for 49 years. Sandra was a bus driver and teacher’s aide for many years with the East Tallahatchie County School District. Sandra was a wonderful cook and her greatest joy was camping. She loved her children and grandchildren ALMOST as much as she loved to camp. 

In addition to her parents, Sandra was preceded in death by one brother, Calvin Beard, and one grandson, Hunter McGee. 

The family she leaves to cherish her memory include her husband of 49 years, Tillman Flowers, four children, René McGee, of Batesville, MS, Cyndi Vitry (Roland), of Batesville, MS, Marc Furr (Michelle), of Enid, MS, and Tim Flowers, of Enid, MS, one sister, Betty Hoggatt, of Wisner, La, eleven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
