Rose Lynchard

Rose Lynchard, age 65, passed away Tuesday night April 9, 2019 at her home in Sardis, MS.

Funeral services for Ms. Rose will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, April 12, 2019 in the Martin Willingham Memorial Chapel of Wells Funeral Home in Batesville. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service at 9:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Forrest Memorial Park. Rev. Joey Williams will be officiating.

Rose was born February 16, 1954 to the late Ruby Scott and Shelby Lynchard in Greenville, MS. During her lifetime she worked as a factory worker and was a member of the Hope Church of God in Oakland, MS.

Those she leaves behind to cherish her loving memory include her children, Varonica Lynn Hester of Batesville, MS, and Vernell Hester of Marks, MS; six sisters, Lucille Woods of Sardis, MS, Inez Crotwell of Cleveland, TN, Virginia Waldrup of Petal, MS, Willie Mae Elkins of Florence, MS, Joyce Hester of Magee, MS, and Betty Pearce of Florence, MS; two brothers, William Ed Lynchard of Greenville, MS, and Shelby Lynchard, Jr. of Florence, MS; 8 grandchildren, Sara Rose, Daniel, Sara Joyce, Della Mae, Nicholas, Trinity, Warren, and Gracie.

Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by three brothers, Charles Lynchard, Leon Lynchard, and Charlie Lynchard.
