Roger Floyd Russell

Roger Floyd “Butch” Russell, Jr., age 51, passed away Thursday, April 18, 2019 at Baptist Memorial of North MS in Oxford, MS.

Funeral services will be 4:30 P.M. Saturday, April 20, 2019, in the Martin Willingham Memorial Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with the family receiving friends beginning at 3:00 P.M. prior to the service. The interment will follow the service in Black Jack Cemetery near Batesville, MS.

Butch was born April 2, 1968 in Oxford, MS to the Roger Floyd Russell, Sr. and Anna Barmer Russell. He was an Industrial Engineer among many other jobs he took on in life and was a member of Hosanna Family Worship Center in Pope, MS.

Butch’s memory will be cherished by his wife, Rita Martin Russell of Batesville, MS; daughter, Keely Porter (Skylar) of Batesville, MS; son, Jacob Woodall of Batesville, MS; mother, Anna Barmer Russell; brother, Edward Russell (Heather) of Pope, MS; five grandchildren, Jaxon Porter, Tressley  Porter, Heaven Porter, Rainey Porter, Brenden Woodall; niece, Eyce Noelle Short; two nephews, Drake Alan Russell and Blaize Short.

Butch was preceded in death by his father, Roger Floyd Russell, Sr.
