Rodger Dale Cummins

Rodger Dale Cummins, age 73, passed away Sunday, August 2, 2020 at the Baptist Memorial Hospital in Oxford, MS.

There will be a Memorial Service held for Rodger on Wednesday, August 5, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. in the Martin Willingham Memorial Chapel of Wells Funeral Home. The family will gather at 10:00 prior to the service. Due to the mask mandate in Panola County, we ask that you wear a mask during the services and practice social distancing.

Rodger was born April 7, 1947 to the late Earl Cummins and Mary Ellen Lee Cummins in Kosciusko, MS. Rodger worked as an automotive mechanic during his lifetime. In his spare time, Rodger could be found enjoying the outdoors, whether it was cutting the grass or sitting on the front porch. His greatest joy however was spending time with his grandchildren.

The loving family he leaves behind includes his wife, Wanda Faye Cook Cummins of Crenshaw; children, Teresa Ann Stone of Sledge, Michelle Whitfield of Independance, Rodger Dale Cummins, Jr. of Strayhorn, and Christopher Cummins of Askew; sisters, Daisy Franklin of Pope, and Janice Branch of Pass Christian; brothers, Terry Cummins for Strayhorn, and Johnny Cummins of Sarah; beloved grandchildren, Mickey Bright, Katie Bright, Rodger Dale Cummins, III., Ryan Cummins, Brittnay Dettor, and Jessica Messey.
