Robert Earl Reed, age 66, passed away Friday, November 18, 2022 near Winona, MS.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, November 21, 2022 in the Martin Willingham Memorial Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with the interment to follow at Forrest Memorial Park in Batesville, MS. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the funeral service.

Robert was born on January 25, 1956 to the late Charlie B. Reed and Mary Ruth Henry Reed in Quitman County, MS. He was retired from Lehman-Roberts Company where he proudly worked as the Superintendent over the asphalt plants for 38 years of his life and enjoyed everyone he worked with, as well as the job itself. After retirement and in Robert’s free time, he loved to be outdoors. He mostly enjoyed going deer hunting, but also liked to fish a little. Robert also loved football and classic cars.

The family he leaves behind include his precious wife, Norma Gayle Reed of Batesville, MS; two sons, Robert Earl “Bob” Reed, Jr. and Billy Joe Reed (Ginny) both of Batesville, MS; four sisters, Ruthie Reed Skeen of Batesville, MS, Janie Terry Mathenia of Senatobia, MS, Ouida Shots of Brandon, MS, and Emily Perkins of Southaven, MS; three brothers, Jimmy Reed of Brandon, MS, Charles Reed of Vancleave, MS, and Henry Reed of Batesville, MS; 7 grandchildren, Robert Earl Reed, III, Matthew Hunter Reed, Tyler Haze Reed, Haley Elizabeth Reed, Johnathan Gabriel Curtis Reed, Madison Claire Reed, and Chandler Reed Toliver; and 3 great grandchildren, Aiden Rivers Reed, John Carter Reed, and Charlie Jamison Reed.

Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by one brother, James Horace Reed.
