Robert L. Tamboli, age 83, passed away Tuesday, May 19, 2020, at the Mississippi State Veterans Home in Oxford, MS.
A graveside service will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday, May 23, 2020, at Forrest Memorial Park in Batesville, MS with Rev. John Howell, Jr. officiating. A private family gathering will be at Wells Funeral Home prior to the graveside service. All friends are welcome to attend the graveside service, but please be mindful of the continued social distancing restrictions in place. An uploaded recording of the service will be provided on this page after the service or you may watch a live stream on the Wells Funeral Home Facebook page.
Robert was born on July 23, 1936 to the late Ruggero Tamboli and Gesmonda Greganti Tamboli in Memphis, TN. Robert was retired from the Corp of Engineers where he was an engineering technician. After retiring, he also worked at MDOT. In his spare time, you could find Robert hunting, fishing, or doing something outdoors. He was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church in Batesville, MS and also proudly served his country in the United States Army.
His memory will be cherished by his loving wife of 49 years, Regina Allen Tamboli of Oakland, MS; 9 children, Steven Tamboli (Danita) of Columbus, MS, Rosemary Tamboli of Olive Branch, MS, Sandy Tamboli Smith (Todd) of Horn Lake, MS, David Tamboli (Heather) of Batesville, MS, Rebekah Tamboli Capps (Zach) of Batesville, MS, Sharon Tamboli of Oakland, MS, Angela Lasiter of Texas, Mary Beth Garner (Andrew) of Batesville, MS, and Lee Lasiter (Natosha) of Texas; 19 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by one son, Robert Lee “Bobby” Tamboli (Susan).
