Robert Bounds

Robert Gorman Bounds, age 81, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 15, 2023 at the Mississippi State Veterans Home in Oxford, Mississippi. Born December 27, 1941 in Miami, FL, Robert was preceded in death by his brother Tom Bounds, and parents Gorman G. and Eva Johnson Bounds. The family he leaves behind include his daughter Elena Collins of Biloxi, MS; his son, Robert Bounds, Jr. of Pensacola, FL; stepdaughters Catherine Long of Lumberton, TX and Carol Emmerling of Topeka, KS; his cousin Donald Bounds of Key West, FL; 6 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, and beloved family friend and caregivers, Gerald ‘Jerry’ and Sonya Tuttle of Holly Springs, MS. Our family is extremely grateful for the Tuttle’s friendship and selfless support for our father over the last 10 years as well as their loving, compassionate acts and communication to us in his final days.
