Ricky L. Ware, age 58, passed away Friday, April 9, 2021 in Tallahatchie County.

Funeral services for Ricky will be 2:00 p.m. on Monday, April 12, 2021 in the Martin Willingham Memorial Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with the interment to follow at Crowder Cemetery. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service.

Ricky was born on June 17, 1962 to Jeanette Bryant Ware and the late Floyd E. Ware. He grew up in Panola County and Quitman County, attending Crowder Baptist Church. Ricky worked hard as a welder and was considered to his family, a jack-of-all trades. He had a special love for fishing. Ricky also enjoyed being outside and playing baseball with friends and family.

The family he leaves behind to cherish his memory include his loving wife, Sharlene “Sholly” Burt Ware of Batesville, MS; two daughters, Christie Lynn Spangler (Mike) of Fort Walton Beach, FL, and Stacy Jean Gaskin (Terry) of Maben, MS; his and Sholly’s additional blessings, Dawson Dolden of Crowder, MS, Isaac Dolden, Dee Austin, Braxton Ware and Ryder Ware all of Batesville, MS; his mother, Jeanette Bryant Ware of Batesville, MS; two brothers, Jerry M. Ware, Sr. and Michael Wayne Ware both of Batesville, MS; 3 grandchildren, Karley, Carter, and Conner; and his companion, “Chewy”.

He is preceded in death by his father, Floyd Ware, and one brother, Donald E. “Duck” Ware; loving mother-in-law, Irene Burt; two nieces, Amanda Dolden and Renea Lee; and one nephew, Robby Schmitz.
