Rickey Griffis

Rickey Griffis, age 61, passed away Thursday afternoon, June 15, 2017, at Baptist Memorial Hospital of North MS in Oxford, MS.The family will be gathering for a memorial service Sunday, June 18, 2017 at 3:00 P.M. in the Martin Willingham Memorial Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with visitation beginning one hour prior to the service. Dr. David Ball will be officiating the service. Inurnment will be in Black Jack Cemetery near Batesville, MS.Rickey was born September 5, 1955 in Batesville, MS to the late Ancil D. and Mollie Jarrett Griffis. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Batesville, MS. and was a longtime employee of Denley Pest Control.Rickey is survived by his four siblings, Gloria Griffis Darby of Courtland, MS, Dennis Griffis of Ft. Lauderdale, MS, Hal and Michael Griffis both of Batesville, MS.
