Preston Davis Tidwell, Jr.

Preston Davis Tidwell, Jr., age 81, passed away on July 31, 2018 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Oxford, MS. He was the husband of Doris Tidwell of Batesville.

Funeral services for Preston will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 2, 2018 in the Martin Willingham Memorial Chapel of Wells Funeral Home in Batesville MS, with visitation beginning at 1:00 prior to the service. Interment will follow at Forrest Memorial Park.

Preston was born March 13, 1937 to the late Preston Davis Tidwell, Sr., and Hazel Goforth Tidwell in Panola County MS. He was a retired factory worker and a member or Orwood Presbyterian Church. In his spare time, Preston enjoyed fishing, antique cars and was especially proud of his 1956 Ford Fairlane. Preston like spending time with his family and watching Lauren play softball.

The loving family he leaves behind include his wife, Doris Parker Tidwell of Batesville; 2 sons, Preston Davis Tidwell III (Pam), and Galen M. Tidwell (Cathy) both of Batesville; 3 grandchildren, Lauren Tidwell, Bryan Tidwell, and Melissa Crockett.
