Paul Hayden Windham

May 2, 1957 — February 19, 2022

Paul Hayden Windham, age 64, passed away Saturday morning, February 19, 2022, at Baptist Memorial Hospital of North MS in Oxford, MS.

In response to Covid-19, the family will have a private family graveside service at Sardis Lake Baptist Church Cemetery. A celebration of Paul's life will be held at a later date, which will be announced in the near future.

Paul was born on May 2, 1957 to the late Rev. Smith Windham and Hazel Gann Windham in Marks, MS. He worked for the Thermos Company in Batesville where he was a purchasing scheduler. Paul was a faithful member of the Sardis Lake Baptist Church where he served his beloved church as a Sunday School teacher and in a multitude of ways. He was also a former ordained deacon at Locke Station Baptist Church. Some of Paul’s favorite things to do includes riding his motorcycle, eating Chinese food, and trout fishing in Heber Springs. He also enjoyed watching all of the Ole Miss sports. Paul never met a stranger, and he formed friendships quickly. Anywhere he went, you could bet that he would find someone he knew. His generosity held no bounds. He would give you the shirt off his back if he thought you needed it.

He leaves behind his wife, Maria Tamboli Windham of Sardis, MS; and one sister, Barbara Windham Johnson of Booneville, MS. Even though Paul had no children, he loved his fur-baby, Sassy, whom he fondly called “Sassinator”.

The family would like to personally thank all the doctors, nurses, and family who did everything loving hands could do, but God saw fit to call Paul home and stop the Covid virus.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Sardis Lake Baptist Church.
