Norman E. Renfro, age 87, passed away Friday, March 14, 2025 at the Senatobia Health and Rehab in Senatobia, MS.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 20, 2025 in the Martin Willingham Memorial Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with the interment to follow at Shiloh Cemetery in Courtland, MS. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
Norman was born on October 9, 1937 in Courtland, MS. A proud veteran, he honorably served in the United States Air Force for four years, embodying the values of service and commitment to his country.
Following his military tenure, Norman established a successful career as an HVAC technician. His exceptional skills extended beyond heating and cooling systems; he was also an adept welder and renowned for his pipe fitting expertise. Norman was truly a jack of all trades, often showcasing his craftsmanship through projects that demonstrated his dedication to quality and detail.
In addition to his professional undertakings, Norman cherished the time spent outdoors, enjoying both hunting and fishing. He had a remarkable passion for building custom trikes and refurbishing cars, which reflected his inventive spirit and love for creativity.
The family Norman leaves behind includes his two daughters, Carole Giaroli (Eddie) of Belden, MS, and Pat Haire (Martin) of Sarasota, FL; and one brother, Billy Shankle (Dale) of Courtland, MS.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Alma Jean Renfro; his mother, Dorothy McDowell; and three siblings, Thomas Shankle, Emma Lou Graham, and Ann Thrasher.
