Nettie A. Hudson

Nettie Hudson, age 76, passed away March 13, 2019 at Diversicare Nursing Home in Batesville, MS. Nettie was the widow of James Hudson. 

There will be a memorial service held for Nettie at 2:00 on Saturday, March 16, 2019 in the Martin Willingham Memorial Chapel of Wells Funeral Home in Batesville with visitation beginning at 1:00. Rev. Derrick Simmons will officiate. 

Nettie was born, April 4, 1942 to the late Oliver Woodard and Alice Mason Woodard in Sardis, MS. She enjoyed sewing and working with craft projects. Nettie was a member of Sardis Lake Baptist Church.

The loving family she leaves behind include 2 daughters, Wanda Hudson Fatheree (Randy) of Courtland, and Rhonda Hudson Campbell (James) of Yulee, FL.; sisters, Martha Webb (Larry) of Batesville, June McGehee (Billy) of Sardis, and Glynn Joslin (Gary) of Batesville; brothers, Chester Woodard (Ann), Danny Woodard (Faye) both of Batesville, and David Woodard (Fran) of Abbeville; and 3 grandchildren, Tiffany Cosby( Justin) Jamison Hudson, and Tristan Cummins.

In addition to her parents and husband, Nettie was preceded in death by 1 daughter, Sharon Cummins, and 2 brothers, Tony and Leon Woodard.
