Nancy Lewis McPhail

Nancy Lewis McPhail, age 66, passed away at her home in Oxford on January 20, 2023.

The family will hold a Celebration of Life to honor Nancy at 11:00 a.m. on February 11, 2023 at Liberty Hill Baptist Church in Pope, MS.

Nancy was born on August 26, 1956 to the late Oscar Jones Lewis and Elizabeth Vick Lewis in Albuquerque, NM. She graduated from South Panola High School in 1974 and was the first female enrolled in agriculture classes at the school. Nancy was a homemaker who enjoyed taking care of her family and home. She was most proud of her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Nancy adored her sweet fur baby, Ginger. She was a member of Fountain Church in Oxford and the Kairos Prison Ministries.

The family she leaves behind includes her husband, James Allen McPhail of Oxford; daughters, Melissa Ann McPhail and Jessica Marie McPhail both of Oxford; one brother, David Lewis (Cindy) of Midland City, AL.; grandchildren, Ali Red (Joseph), Chloe Booker (Keuntae), Maykayla McPhail, Trynten Brannon, and Brysen McPhail; great grandchildren, Wynnee Red, Rowan Booker, and Haizley McPhail.
