Minnie Ruth Robertson

Minnie Ruth Robertson, age 70, passed away Saturday, May 8, 2021 at her home in Lambert, MS.

A graveside service will be at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, May 10, 2021 at Magnolia Cemetery with Mr. Jeremy Weldon officiating. The family will receive friends there at Magnolia Cemetery at 2:30 p.m.

Minnie was born on April 15, 1951 to the late David John Thomas Green and Mary Louise Jenkins Green in Stover, MS. After growing up in Lambert and meeting the love of her life, Mr. Carrol Robertson, they moved to Chicago where he was employed. Minnie and Carrol moved back to the Lambert area where they were joint business owners of Robertson's Grocery Store. Minnie also worked as a factory worker at Garan's in Lambert and at Barth Manufacturing in Marks.

Minnie was a loving and kind wife, mother, and grandmother. She adored her grandchildren and would "take the shirt off her back" for them, or anyone in general. She enjoyed spending time with friends and family, and going shopping. Minnie also had a love for sewing and listening to gospel music, especially Alan Jackson's music.

Those left behind to cherish her precious memory include her husband, Carrol Robertson of Lambert; her children, Allissa Carrol Clements of Clarksdale, and Christopher Scott Robertson of Marks; her step-son, Kenneth "Kenny" Robertson of Oxford; three sisters, Ruby Roberson of Lambert, Shirley Stewart of Water Valley, and Ann Green of Greenwood; three brothers, Butch Clinton Green of Sarah, Paul Green of Lambert, and Calvin Green of Marks; 6 grandchildren, Shelby, Jordan, Tyler, Jakob, Matthew, and Timothy.

Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by 6 brothers and 9 sisters.
