Michael Paul McCullar

Michael Paul McCullar, age 35, passed away late Monday night, December 3, 2018 at his home in Sardis, MS.

Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Friday, December 7, 2018, in the Martin Willingham Chapel of Wells Funeral Home with interment to follow in Longtown Cemetery in Crenshaw, MS. The family will be receiving friends Thursday evening, December 6, 2018, from 5:00 - 8:00 P.M. at Wells Funeral Home in Batesville, MS.

Michael was born March 13, 1983 to John Mark McCullar and the late Laura Ann Yancey in Batesville, MS. He worked for Kizer Flooring here in Batesville. During his free time you could find Michael working on vehicles, wood-working, fishing, or playing his video games. Michael and his wife, Melissa, fostered children throughout their marriage, which they both adored and loved.

Those he leaves behind to cherish his loving memory include his wife, Melissa Rayburn McCullar of Sardis, MS; his children, Leia Nicole McCullar of Rutherford, TN, Justin Scott Matthews (Emily) of Southaven, MS, and William Tyler Matthews (Sissie) of Senatobia, MS; three sisters, Amy McCullar Roach of Corinth, MS, Angela McCullar (John) of Crenshaw, MS, and April McCullar of Arkansas; one brother, Mickey Mizell of Senatobia, MS; his father, John Mark McCullar (Yolanda) of Crenshaw, MS; and 6 grandchildren, Landon, Allison, Andrew, Parker, Kyler, and Kaysyn.

Michael is preceded in death by his mother, Laura Ann Yancey.
