Michael Andrew Darling, Sr., age 61, passed away at Baptist Hospital Desoto in Southaven, MS on 9-27-2017. There will be a graveside service held for Michael at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 30, 2017 at Thyatira Cemetery in Senatobia, MS. Michael was born September 10, 1956 to Maxine Bishop Purdy and the late Herbert Wilkins Darling in Memphis, TN. Michael worked as a painter and contractor during his lifetime. Survivors include his mother; Maxine Bishop Purdy of Sardis, his children; Becky Tedford of Senatobia, Catherine Darling of Loxahoma, Michael Darling, Jr. of Memphis, TN, and Mark Darling of Loxahoma; sisters, Brenda Booth of Sardis, Sherry Darling of Blue Ridge, GA, and Carolyn Darling of Iowa,; brother, Jay Pounders of Nashville, TN, and 6 grandchildren. In addition to his father, Michael is preceded in death by one son, Clint Darling.
