Melva Ware Bray

Melva Ware Bray, age 80, passed away at Desoto Health Center in Southaven on April 10, 2019. She was the widow of Jack Bray.

A graveside service will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Friday, April 12, 2019 at Forrest Memorial Park in Batesville, MS. The family will be receiving friends at Wells Funeral Home from 1:00 to 2:30 P.M.

Melva was born on March 10, 1939 to the late Minnie Mae Meahan and William A. Ware in Panola County, MS. During her lifetime she worked as a supervisor at the Proflex Medical Supplies for 40 years. Melva then enjoyed the retired life for 19 years by reading and going shopping.

Those she leaves behind include her daughter, Lisa Bray Steverson (Steve) of Southaven; her sister, Carol Bryant of Marks, MS; one brother, Monty Ware of Batesville, MS; two step-grandchildren, Peyton and Franklin Steverson.

Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Jack M. Bray; one sister, Nora Joiner; and six brothers, Milton Ware, Floyd Ware, Shannon Ware, Harold Ware, Ollie Ware and James Robert Ware.
