Mattie Mae "Matsy" Lauderdale

Mattie Mae "Matsy" Lauderdale, age 84, passed away peacefully in her sleep Friday October 6, 2017, at Diversicare in Batesville, MS. Funeral services will be 3:00 P.M. Sunday, October 8, 2017, at the Senatobia Church of Christ in Senatobia, MS with the family receiving friends beginning at 1:30 P.M. prior to the service. Interment will follow in Forrest Memorial Park in Batesville, MS. Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Lee Pollan, Walker Spier, Matthew Powell, Craig Owen, Michael Dale, and Barry Barron. Wells Funeral Home of Batesville, MS in charge of arrangements.Matsy was born October 28, 1932 in Belzoni, MS to the late Roy and Maggie Mae Harris Barron. She was a homemaker that enjoyed cooking, sewing and keeping her home clean. When her daughters were young, she took great pride in sewing their clothes. Over all, one could say, she enjoyed just loving her family. She and her husband, Scott, are both members of the Senatobia Church of Christ.Martsy will be missed mostly by her loving family, which includes, her husband, Scott Lauderdale of Senatobia, MS; three daughters, Debbie Lauderdale Webb of Bartlett, TN, Pam Lauderdale Spier (Bo) of Senatobia, MS, Lisa Lauderdale Powell of Bartlett, TN; six grandchildren, Lee Pollan, Amanda Spier Dale, Walker Spier, Matthew Powell, Megan Powell Owen, Allison Matsy Powell; seven great-grandchildren and five step great-grandchildren.
