Mary Joann Buckner, age 84, passed away Wednesday morning, August 15, 2018 at the Providence Assisted Living Center in Batesville, MS. She was the widow of the late James Belton Buckner
There will be a memorial service held for Ms. Buckner at 3:00 on Saturday, August 18, 2018 in the Martin Willingham Memorial Chapel of Wells Funeral Home in Batesville. The family will receive friends beginning at 2:00 prior to the service. Reverend Rayford Ables will officiate.
Joann was born December 3, 1933 to the late Rufus and Mary Ellen Lackey in Friars Point, MS. Joann was a financial consultant during her lifetime. She enjoyed shopping, making crafts and jewelry, and playing Bingo at Providence.
The loving family she leaves behind include her children, Luanne C. Key of Clinton, Brenda C. Key of Courtland, and Donald R. Clubb of Brandon; 7 grandchildren; and 5 great grandchildren.
