Margie Jones Eads Pearson, age 82, passed away Wednesday, June 13, 2018 at the Charleston Nursing Home. She is the wife of Joe Pearson of Batesville.
Funeral services for Mrs. Pearson will be held on Saturday, June 16, 2018 at 12 noon in the Martin Willingham Memorial Chapel of Wells Funeral Home in Batesville. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow the service at Forrest Memorial Park. Rev. Rusty Miller will officiate.
Margie was born September 25, 1935 to the late Abram Eugene Jones and Lillian Coggins Jones in Quitman County MS. Margie was a retired bookkeeper for Brassell’s John Deere where she worked for 34 years. She was a member of Goodwill Church of God. Margie enjoyed spending time and taking trips with family and friends. In her spare time she enjoyed quilting, gardening, canning and fishing.
She is preceded in death by her first husband, James L. Eads; one daughter, Jackie Laverne Eads; 3 sisters, Ruby Bolen, Mary Ruth Rice, and Faye Bass; 2 brothers, Fred Jones and Gene Jones; and one grandchild, Terri Johnson.
The loving family she leaves behind include her husband, Joe Pearson of Batesville; 2 daughters, Cheryl Eads Johnson of Portageville, MO., and Linda Eads Dear of Batesville; 2 sisters, Ellen Vanhoozer of Amory, and Patricia Mettatal of Batesville; 3 grandchildren, Walter Kevin Dear, Jr., Taylor Dear, and James Johnson (Charolette); 2 great grandchildren, Caleb and Madison Johnson.
