Margaret Ann Allen

Margaret Ann Allen, 88, of Batesville, MS, passed away Monday, January 20, 2020, at Baptist Memorial Hospital of North Mississippi in Oxford, MS. Formerly of San Diego, CA, she was the widow of U.S. Navy CMDR Temple Lebron Allen.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Saturday, January 25, 2020, at Calvary Baptist Church in Batesville, MS with interment to follow at Magnolia Cemetery in Batesville, MS. The family will receive friends beginning at 12 p.m. Saturday prior to the service at the church.

Margaret Ann was born on September 10, 1931, to the late Charles Douglas Baker and Lillian Elizabeth Webb Baker in Hiattville, KS. She was a devoted military wife and mother to five children. Margaret Ann was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.

Those she leaves behind to cherish her loving memory include her daughter, Temple Crowell (Boyce “Crow”) of Courtland, MS; her three sons, Ritchie Allen (Wanda) of Oxford, MS, Donald Allen of Tucson, AZ, and Paul Allen of San Diego, CA; two sisters, Lucille George of Kansas, and Alice Goff (Paul) of Kansas; one brother, Paul Baker (Mary) of Kansas; nine grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

Along with her parents and her husband, she is preceded in death by her daughter Bonnie Hileman, grandson Billy Hileman, and siblings, Rosalee Harrison, Claude D. Baker and Keith W. Baker.
