Lula Vee Allen

Lula Vee Allen, age 84, passed away early Monday morning, January 14, 2019, at her home in Batesville MS.

Funeral services for Lula will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 16, 2019 in the Martin-Willingham Memorial Chapel of Wells Funeral Home. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 5:00 to 8:00 at Wells Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Cold Springs Cemetery.

Lula was born October 18, 1934 to the late Evie Estelle Peters and Carl Frasure in Nettleton, MS. Lula was a homemaker during her lifetime and was a member of Cold Springs Methodist Church. Lula enjoyed being outside and working in her yard, but most of all she loved being with her family.

Those she leaves behind include her children, Barbara Allen Lambert (Kevin) of Batesville, MS, Joy Allen Cevera (Jim) of Oxford, MS, James Allen (Ashley), and Jeffrey Allen (Jennifer) both of Batesville, MS; her sisters, Louise Douglas, Jimmie Warren, and Melba Warren all of Pontotoc, MS; one brother, L.A. Frasure of Pontotoc, MS; 8 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Lula is preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Allen; one son, Michael Gerald Allen; her sisters, Marie Douglas, Nell Walton, Estelle Waldo, Josie Allen, and Syble Patton; and one brother, Spencer Frasure.
