Lorene Foster Hudson

Lorene Foster Hudson, age 87, passed away Tuesday, April 12, 2022 at her home near Sardis, MS. She was the widow of Mr. James Robert "Bobby" Hudson. 

Funeral services will be 3:00 P.M. Saturday, April 16, 2022, at Hebron Baptist Church near Sardis, MS with the interment to follow at Magnolia Cemetery in Batesville, MS. The family will begin receiving friends at 1:00 P.M. prior to the service.

Born in Panola County on September 17, 1934, one of five children, to the late Robert Anthony Foster and Edna Mae Scallorn Foster in Panola County, MS. Lorene worked as a teachers assistant and nurses assistant. She loved reading Devotionals and her church, Hebron Baptist, where she was a Sunday School Teacher and member of the Women's Missionary Union. Lorene enjoyed gospel singing on TV, particularly The Gaithers. She also enjoyed watching game shows. Most of all she loved her family and her Lord.

The loving family she leaves behind includes her children, Richard Hudson (Robin) of Batesville, James Carlton Hudson (Jeannie) of Sardis, Douglas Foster Hudson (Christy) of Batesville; one brother, Hugh Foster (Ruth) of Hernando; grandchildren, Dexter, Nick, Matthew, and Dalton Hudson; great grandchildren, Caleb, Harrison, and Destiny Hudson.

In addition to her parents and husband, Bobby, Lorene was preceded in death by four brothers, Cecil, Robert, Jr., Calvin Laverne, and Sonny Foster.
