Leslie Howard “Les” Siltman, age 72, passed away Wednesday morning, April 4, 2018, at the Mississippi Veterans Home in Oxford, MS.
Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Saturday, April 7, 2018, in the Martin Willingham Memorial chapel of Wells Funeral Home with interment to follow in Magnolia Cemetery in Batesville, MS. The family will be receiving friends Saturday prior to the service beginning at 12:00 P.M. Reverend John Howell will be officiating Les’ service.
Les was born October 27, 1945 in Grenada, MS to the late Raymond L. and Martha Haliburton Siltman and was raised in Batesville, MS. He graduated from the University of Mississippi in 1968 with a Business Degree and went on to serve his country in the U.S. Air Force. In 1971, Les was honorably discharge from the Air Force as a Captain. Prior to joining the Air Force, on February 15, 1968, he married Rammie Reid and they were married for twenty-three years. Les was in the insurance industry for forty-five years and ended his career as a Regional Manager for AFLAC.
Les is survived by his two sons, Jeffery Scott Siltman of Batesville, MS, Leslie Bryan Siltman (Crystal) of Gallatin, TN; two grandsons, Ethan Hunter Siltman of Gallatin, TN, Eli Morgan Siltman of Gallatin, TN; mother of his children, Rammie Reid Siltman of Batesville, MS.
Besides his parents, Les was preceded in death by his three sisters, Sandy Siltman Martin, Betty Siltman Pratt and Martha Raye Siltman Finley.
