Leon "Avery" Ridgeway

Leon Avery Ridgeway, 63, of Batesville, MS, passed away Friday, September 29, 2023 at Diversicare Nursing Home in Batesville.

Per the family, there will be no services at this time.

Avery, as he was known, was born May 4, 1960 to the late Leon Elliot Ridgeway and Virginia Ard Ridgeway in Marks, MS. Avery was a very simple man that enjoyed the simple pleasures of life such as hunting, driving tractors on the farm, riding 4-wheelers, and watching TV. He especially loved his dog, Ellie Mae.

In addition to his parents, Avery was preceded in death by his brother, Jason Ridgeway. 

He leaves three siblings to cherish his memory, Patricia Ridgeway, Barry Ridgeway (Ginger), and Jerry Ridgeway (Connie).
